#Our Identity Is Associated With Our Purpose!

1 Peter 2:1-9

Identity: a) is who you are, the way you think about yourself, the way you are viewed by the world and the characteristics that define you. b) the condition or fact of being a specific person or thing; individuality.  

Human beings have identites, male and female. Things have identites, coffee maker. The Apostle Peter blesses us with the revelation of our identity when it comes to belonging to God, Whom our indentity is associated and our purpose. Because our true identity is found in Christ Jesus which gives us a new heritage and an eternal inheritance.

Our Identity characterizes our purpose and we walk out that identity so that Jesus Christ's life is lived out through us as a:

Walk out the identity you possess in Christ.  

1) Chosen Generation - Justified!

2) Royal Priesthood - Purified!

3) Holy Nation - Sanctified!

4) A Peculiar People - Identified

Identity in Christ brings great blessings.  Remember, if we are ashamed of Him, He will be ashamed of us when He comes into His Father's kingdom.  The Apostle Paul said it like this: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." Romans 1:16

Gospel Message:

He died on a hill called Calvary, for the sins of the world.
He was buried in a tomb, And
He rose early Sunday morning, the first day of the week, with all power in heaven and earth!
  Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! 

Amen.
